Outfitting

We not only build boats. We sail them, too. Our master builder first went cruising in the '70's, and many times since. Tor Pinney has logged nearly 150,000 nautical miles under sail. Over time we've learned a fair amount about how to outfit the modern cruising sailboat and prepare your vessel and yourself for extended passagemaking and living aboard - enough to fill a book!

While your new Strong Yacht is abuilding and after she leaves the factory, know that we're available to help you with the important, personal equipment and service provider decisions every modern sailor has to make, from the design, construction and financing phases right through the final outfitting and insuring when your boat is commissioned and launched. Of course, you're welcome to make all your own choices regarding what will work best for you, but if you want our assistance we offer it willingly. 

Towards that end, here is a partial list of equipment and services I use aboard my own Strong 45, and can personally recommend:
